Our Play-Based Approach

At Beehave Academy, we believe children learn best through connection, play, and meaningful relationships. Our approach blends evidence-based ABA therapy with a deep respect for each child’s individuality, strengths, and interests.

We focus on building communication, emotional regulation, daily living skills, and social connections in ways that feel natural, supportive, and engaging. Families are active partners in the process, and goals are designed to support success both at home and in the community.

• Play-based, individualized ABA therapy

• Family-centered collaboration

• Skills that support real-life success

Our Programs

  • Early Childhood ABA

    Best for ages ~2–6

A play-based early learning program designed to support communication, emotional regulation, social engagement, and foundational life skills. Our early childhood services help children build the skills needed to participate in preschool, kindergarten, and daily routines with greater confidence and independence — while honoring each child’s unique developmental path

  • School-Age ABA

    Best for elementary-aged children

Individualized ABA support for school-age children focused on independence, flexibility, emotional regulation, and peer relationships. Services are designed to support success at school, at home, and in the community. For families exploring longer-term educational options, Beehave is also the clinical partner to Adapt, our emerging school model built around life skills, academics, and authentic belonging.

  • Social Groups

Small-group experiences designed to support authentic connection, friendship building, and social confidence. Rather than focusing on scripted social skills, our groups emphasize shared interests, communication, emotional awareness, and being yourself while navigating peer relationships. Groups are thoughtfully structured to feel supportive and engaging, allowing children to practice social skills in real-time while building confidence, flexibility, and a sense of belonging.

  • Family Support & Consultation

Best for families navigating home, school, and support systems

Collaborative support for parents and caregivers navigating behavior, communication, school systems, and IEP planning. Services may include parent coaching, school collaboration, and guidance around advocacy and educational planning so families feel informed, supported, and confident in their decisions.

From our Families

  • "My son WANTS to go to school every day".

Our son’s confidence, communication, friendships, and social skills are truly blossoming. The growth we’ve seen goes far beyond skills — it’s who he is becoming. Beehave has been an incredible support to our family, and we feel so lucky to be surrounded by a team that genuinely cares.

  • “Our lives are better because of Beehave.”

Beehave has made our son a happier, more confident child, and our lives are better because of it. The staff is truly phenomenal, and the environment is warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed.

We’ve seen meaningful growth in his patience, communication, understanding of social play, and ability to work with others. He’s learned important life skills — including that it’s okay to make mistakes — which has been especially powerful for him as a perfectionist. We are so grateful for the care and support Beehave provides.

  • “AmberRae’s expertise is unmatched.”

AmberRae has an incredible gift. She works with our son, who has ASD, ADHD, and sensory processing differences, and her approach and expertise truly stand out. We have worked with many providers since his diagnosis in 2017, and AmberRae is hands down the most thoughtful, skilled, and effective BCBA we’ve ever partnered with. The care and understanding she brings to her work has made a meaningful difference for our child and our family.

    — Parent of a 10-year-old

  • “Seeing our child thrive made taking the leap worthwhile.”

Our child, who once struggled with routines, transitions, and emotional regulation, is now thriving in ways we never thought possible. Making a change felt scary at first, but we quickly realized we weren’t alone in that feeling.

Watching our child grow in confidence, happiness, and independence has made every step worthwhile. We are incredibly grateful for Beehave and would wholeheartedly recommend it to any family considering an ABA-style preschool or therapy.

    — Parent of a 3-year-old

  • “Our son is excited to go to school for the first time.”

Beehave Academy has been a truly positive and redeeming experience for our family. For the first time, our son is excited to go to school each day. Beyond the progress we’ve seen at the clinic, Amber and her team have been thoughtful, proactive partners in supporting us at home as well. We are incredibly thankful for the care, collaboration, and encouragement Beehave provides.

    — Parent of a 7-year-old

  • “Social groups have been such a positive experience for our child.”

My child loves attending social groups at Beehave. Amber made the entire process of getting started easy by guiding us through insurance authorization, which was such a relief.

Amber and her team communicate clearly and consistently, keeping us informed about what our child is working on each week and sharing photos that we truly appreciate. The space itself is bright, clean, and welcoming, and it’s clear how much care goes into everything they do.

    — Parent of an 8-year-old

  • “Beehave has been such a gift to our family.”

We love Beehave Academy and the entire team. Both of our children attend, and we’ve seen meaningful growth in their social skills, communication, and overall behavior. They come home excited to share the art projects they’ve made and the activities they enjoyed each day.

We especially appreciate the way Beehave incorporates the community — from walks to the park and playground to visits to the library and other local spaces. We are so grateful to have Beehave in our community and for the genuine care they show our children every day.

    — Parent of two children 4 and 6-year-olds

  • “We’ve seen tremendous growth in our son.”

Since our son started at Beehave last September, we’ve seen tremendous growth. He has learned how to ask for breaks when he’s dysregulated, set boundaries, and build friendships with peers.

The staff is deeply invested in the children and consistently keeps us informed with thoughtful updates. Beehave is a safe, supportive place for kids to learn and grow, and we would absolutely recommend it to other families.

    — Parent of a 7-year-old

  • “Beehave has truly been our village.”

My son attends social groups at Beehave, and he absolutely loves them. I still vividly remember his first day — it was clear right away that he felt connected, heard, and genuinely understood.

They say it takes a village to raise a child, and Beehave Academy has truly been that village for our family. We are incredibly grateful for the positive impact they’ve had on our son’s confidence, happiness, and sense of belonging.

    — Parent of a 9-year-old

  • “Watching our son grow has been incredibly encouraging.”

When our son was diagnosed with autism, we were understandably nervous about starting a school-based program at such a young age. Amber and the team at Beehave took a thoughtful, gradual approach that helped him feel safe and supported from the very beginning.

Since joining Beehave, the growth we’ve seen has been incredibly encouraging. Our son is now communicating more confidently, advocating for himself, and showing excitement for learning. We are deeply grateful for the care and intentional support Beehave provides and would wholeheartedly recommend them to other families.
